The Princess and Paws Extravaganza!

September 21, 2010

On Sunday, September 12, Cinderella4aday hosted our first ever bridal show, called the “Princess and Paws Bridal Extravaganza.” It took place at the elegant Poughkeepsie Tennis Club and featured the hottest, most in-demand professionals the Hudson Valley has to offer!

We wanted our bridal show to stand out from the rest and be truly unique and exciting, and made it special with several unique features.

For one, we had our vendors interact and find creative ways to show guests what they do rather than just talk about it.

Our fashion show featured more than great wedding dresses; we also showcased attire for the rest of the wedding party as well as dresses for Sweet Sixteens and other events. These gorgeous gowns were sponsored by Mary Abdoo and You; our sharp-looking tuxes came courtesy of Sossi Formals.

Ant’yrice Salon’s Angeline and her team of stylists did our models’ fabulous hairstyles, and the girls’ makeup was done by Karen of LaV Beauty and Nina of Makeup on the Move.

Also featured in our fashion show? Doggie couture!

The event also featured great performances of 50’s and 60’s music from the Mustangs and DJ-ing by James Daniel (who also sang during the fashion show!)

An “out of the box” feature the guys really loved was the inclusion of the Blue Smoke Cigar Lounge, which provides full service cigar lounges for events and parties.

Another unique touch to the show was amazing belly dancer Nabila, who kicked off our fashion show in style.

Cinderella4aday’s sister company, Sinfully Sweet, showcased a lollipop tree as part our custom candy buffet.

We also included a nanny service, as some modern brides are mothers!

The fabulous food at the event was sponsored by Cosimo’s Catering. Other generous donations came from Lumabase Luminaries and Chapel Runners. They really helped to make the event special.

Brides-to-be had the chance to win several awesome prizes, including an engagement shoot by Josh Strauss Photography, a free facial from Assunta Derossa, $150 worth of petals donated by Flyboy Naturals, a gift certificate from Chapel Runners, and many more. Every bride also received a gorgeous tote bag to carry.

The best part of the day? We had the honor of donating part of our proceeds to Wish Upon a Wedding, the world’s first nonprofit wish granting organization that provides weddings and vow renewals for couples dealing with serious life-altering circumstances and terminal illness. We are so proud to have been able to donate!
