Evelyn and Tyrone’s Wintry Wedding Wonderland!
Evelyn and Tyrone finally say “I do”! After ten years of marriage, the couple decided to have the wedding of their dreams on February 17, 2013. February, the month reflecting love, was the month they chose to celebrate. Rose petals were scattered everywhere, creating the delicate and beautiful wedding Evelyn has always wanted. The ceremony and reception were held at the Villa Borghese, a site that easily embraced the brides rosy theme.
The ceremony showed just how romantic Evelyn really is. The aisle was sprinkled with red and pink roses, and was studded with tall white candles, lighting the path to the altar where she would join her Prince Charming.
Before inviting all of their guests into the reception area, Cinderella for a Day swept Evelyn and Tyrone away for their own private dance-a chance to reflect on their marriage, to hold each other close, and to express their happiness and love.
Cocktail hour lit the fuse of excitement. Guests enjoyed a huge bar, great appetizers, and a variety of delicious fresh fruits. The reception hall was uniquely adorned with big beautiful bouquets of hydrangeas, mums, pink roses, and crystals hanging on snow-frosted branches in tall and short glassware. These elegant bouquets, created by Lavender Leaf & Design, were given a wintery touch, nestled into a bed of sparkling snow.
Even more beautiful was Evelyn, who wore a gorgeous white ruffled gown studded with jewels, which blended perfectly with Tyrone’s grey suit, white shirt, and pink tie.
Once it was time to move into the reception area, Evelyn and Tyrone’s guest couldn’t contain their enthusiasm. The reception area, lit with a midnight blue hue, made guests feel as if they were entering a warm wintry dream.
The toasts were eloquent and reflective of the amazing relationships between the maid of honor, the best man, and the bride and groom. After the toasts were made and the parent dances concluded, the DJ cranked up the music!
Evelyn took this opportunity to change into her second dress: a white, knee high dress with sparkling jewels, and rhinestone studded shoes to match!
Once changed, the bride and all of her friends and family jumped onto the dance floor and danced non-stop to their favorite music-from Caribbean to Latin to American, Evelyn and her girls warmed up the dance floor with their moves. Later in the evening, a dear friend took the mike to serenade the bride and groom with one of their favorite songs.
Photography by Cynthia captured all of the incredible moments of the night. Even after ten years of being together, it seemed as though Evelyn and Tyrone were just beginning their journey together for the first time. It was clear by the smiles on their faces and the gleam in their eyes that their fairy-tale wedding had become a reality.
Masha and Chris’s Italian Russian Fusion Wedding
On a beautiful estate in Fishkill, NY the sweet and bubbly couple, Masha and Chris, said “I do” on September 24th. The ceremony was held on the side of the main stone house overlooking a serene lake. Masha looked stunning in an ivory strapless delicately laced gown with a laced up back and beaded embellishments.
After “the kiss” that sealed their vows, the guests headed up to the tented reception area. There they were greeted by lawn games and flip flops so they could relax and enjoy the reception. One of our favorite parts of the decorations was the over sized purple and white balloons that gave off a fun and whimsical feel. They were placed at the entrance as well as at the cocktail tables.Cocktail hour was adorned with a mashed potato bar as well as a grilled cheese bar, yum! The tent was decorated with dark purple, lavender, white,
ivory, silver, and grey pompoms and with light around the perimeter. The tables were dressed with dark purple and lavender table cloths and the napkins had an adorable tiny piece of lavender tucked into the seam. The centerpiece made by, Flowers On The Porch, was unique and beautiful. It was made with purple stock flowers & white hydrangea with green hanging amaranth.
Also setting the table were delectable caramel apples provided by JJ’s Rockin’ Cupcakes perfect for the season! The creative couple also provided mad libs on the table which created a fun atmosphere for the guests and definitely some memorable reading material for the couple. But wait, the fun didn’t stop there, Masha and Chris offered a photo both with a backdrop of crystals and a variety of silly props to pose with. While their guests were having fun taking pictures the couple got to sneak away with photographer, Keria Lemonis, with the balloons for an adorable photo shoot. Cocktail and Reception area flowed perfectly as guests had the freedom to wander in and out of the tent while the fresh and cool band, “No Standards”. The main singer sang and played acoustic during cocktail hour then picked up the pace when the female vocalist accompanied him. They sang a variety of songs from Van Morrison’s “Brown Eyed Girl” to some pop hits such as “We Are Young” by FUN…Guests loved mixing it up as they danced to the combination of both the live band and the DJ.
This was another one of Cinderella4aday favorite aspects of the night!
The band produced so much energy that even the brief rain storm could not wash the smiles off of anyone’s face at this wedding and everything continued on as if the dark clouds hadn’t appeared at all. After dancing off their dinner, it was time to indulge in cupcakes. Not just any cupcakes… JJ’s Rockin’ Cupcakes! The Decadent Red Velvet and Holy Cannoli cupcakes sat atop elegant mirrored tiers. As guests left this breath taking wedding they all exclaimed how great of a night they had and took some cupcakes in boxes to go.
Oh What a Night!…Kate & Dan’s Rockin Wedding!
From the day of their engagement to the day of their wedding on August 25th Kate and Dan displayed their love in breathtaking ways. Dan proposed to Kate by having the question put into the menu, written like a dessert, at their favorite restaurant. The menu was displayed on their special day at a table next to a romantic black and white photo of Kate pressing her cheek into Dan’s back while hugging him from behind. Surrounding their menu and their picture were their seating cards placed atop mini cupcakes, provided by JJ’s Rockin’ Cupcakes.
The cupcake place cards welcomed guests into the reception in a quirky way while providing them with a sweet treat. Kate and Dan continued to add their special touches by providing their signature drink, blushing bride, written on a chalk board heart which rested on an over sized martini glass (Decorations provided by sinfullysweetcandybuffet).
The venue at The Grandview overlooked the Hudson River and provided guests with a breathtaking view of the Mid Hudson Bridge and the beautiful Hudson Valley. The ceremony was held outside and the weather could not have been more perfect!
While this beautiful summer wedding proceeded the sun beat down and guests cooled themselves with intricately designed wooden fans that the couple had provided. The color scheme of navy blue and shades of pink w0rked beautifully throughout the whole venue. Cinderell4aday especially loved the way their cake incorporated their colors with ribbons of bright pink and navy. The floral arrangements were also breathtaking in colors of blues and pinks provided by, Lucille’s Floral.
The couple got to sneak away with photographer, Cynthia Starr, to take gorgeous pictures by the water with the Mid Hudson bridge in the background.
The bridge was beautifully lite up at night providing guests with a great view.
Continuing to show their warmheartedness the couple donated to the ASPCA for their wedding party favors. This is a great and creative idea that their guests loved.
The dance floor was full the whole night and DJ Joey G of Jade Entertainment kept guests happily dancing into the night. Kate and Dan looked like they couldn’t have been happier that this day was finally here and we here at Cinderella4aday couldn’t be luckier to have shared this day with them!
Sarah and Dan: A perfect “MATCH”!
Sarah and Dan are a sassy couple that bring laughter with them wherever they go. Seriously-Sarah and Dan are hysterical! After meeting on Match.com, they soon realized that they wanted to spend forever together! We knew after meeting them being a part of their journey was going to be super special…
- Our favorite couple with their photo booth props!
Their day was here! and Sarah wanted to make sure that something very special was waiting for Dan while he was getting ready for his big day. She had a beautiful pair of custom cuff links made with a picture of Dan and his late father, truly an incredibly thoughtful loving gift for her soon to be husband. But Sarah wanted to make sure everyone felt special that day…. she really went the extra mile with everything she did. Sarah even made sure that the flower girls had baskets as well as bouquets so they wouldn’t feel left out! With chilled champagne and strawberries in hand, guests were waiting anxiously for the ceremony to begin at the beautiful Falkirk Estate. We were so grateful that the weather held out, so Sarah could have her dream ceremony outside under the beautiful white gazebo. The isle runner was custom designed by the bride and displayed the couples’ names in hot pink and black. Isle chairs were wrapped with hot pink, white and black tulle for an extra touch.
Just before Sarah walked down the aisle, one of her flower girl’s walked up to Dan-she held a surprise in her hand, it was a note she passed to him. Written by Sarah, it was a warning that he still had time to run! Of course he laughed and waited for his beautiful bride to make her way to him! Sarah decided to walk down the isle with her Mom, a beautiful tribute to their bond and love. After making it “official” the couple walked down the isle as guests rang hot pink and black bells that were left on their chairs! Sarah and Dan hopped onto their decked out golf cart and left to take some pics!
Their guests were in for a treat, as the menu was fit for a King! Cocktail hour was filled with little hints of both Sarah and Dan! The stations included a N.Y. style hot dog cart complete with all the fixins’ and Dr. Brown soda!(whats better then Dr. Browns?!) If everyone wasn’t stuffed yet from all the food from cocktail hour, they were sure going to have to dance it off after the five course dinner they were about to be served during reception! It would not be hard to get everyone dancing with the incredible sounds of DJ Jade Entertainment! but before everyone got their groove on, the reception started off with love in the air as Sarah and Dan had their first dance, followed by parent dance’s between Sarah and her mom and an emotional dance with Dan and his mom that left everyone smiling. Now it was time to PARTY, and for the rest of the night-the dance floor was packed-as guests never left the dance floor!
It was a true party between the dancing, specialty drinks (A “Red Headed Slut” for Dan’s red hair!) and a photobooth provided by DJ Jade Entertainment with all the props! There was one prop that was VERY special, it was a cardboard cutout of Sarah’s brother, as he is currently serving in the military overseas. The cardboard cutout of him was used in the photobooth so he could be there in spirit! It was a special and fun twist to add to the booth! Bouquet and garter toss were also a highlight as the lucky two catchers were cracking up the guests with their antics! Owl’s Eye Studios caught every great moment on camera and didn’t miss a trick.
Between the beautiful wish tree decorated with hot pink orchids and crystals, the elegant centerpieces that showcased black curly willow overflowing with pink orchids and a beautiful custom glass engraved money box, their guests were left in awe!
The night ended with custom water bottles, homemade cookies in hand and fun in the air. It was honestly an amazing night filled with love and lots of laughter from family and friends. Sarah and Dan are an awesome couple and we wish them nothing but laughter and happiness for the rest of their lives together!
Endless love….Samantha & Ivan’s Story book Wedding!
Ivan and Samantha’s love story began eight years ago, and the day they decided to make it “official” was finally here! The perfect June wedding was beginning to unfold at the stunning Vassar Chapel, as guests were anxiously awaiting the arrival of the beautiful bride. Samantha and her energetic bridal party arrived and made their way out of their luxurious limo bus provided by Casanova Carriage. Bridesmaids and Groomsmen were dressed in royal blue with touches of yellow, creating a striking POP of color! However, all eyes were on Samantha as she entered the chapel. The epitome of a stunning bride, Samantha walked arm in arm down the isle with her father in a traditional ceremony, something that’s become somewhat forgotten.
After Samantha and Ivan said their “I Do’s”, off to the reception it was! Once arriving at Anthony’s Pier 9, Samantha and Ivan mingledwith their guests during their grand cocktail hour and then snuck away to have a private dance for themselves.
Their entrance was extraordinary, as they rose up from underneath the stage to “WOW” their guests! The reception was gorgeous, as bright yellow bouquets lined the couple’s table, and tall antique candelabras were centered on each table for a romantic and classy feel. Everyone had a fabulous time as they danced the night away to the sounds of Jimmy Dee Music Productions. Guests let loose with a photo booth that included silly props such as light up sunglasses, feather boas and crazy hats! Samantha and Ivan’s wedding was a fun filled evening full of family, friends and lots of laughter.
